Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

However, please note that there are exceptions. They include:

• Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
• If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to self or another person.
• A court subpoena

Child, dependent adult or elder abuse mandates me to make a report to local authorities. For the safety of my client or others, if there is the threat of bodily harm, I will report this to appropriate parties for their protection.

An additional exception.

• If you sign a Confidential Release Form that gives your permission for me to discuss with another person/professional your confidential information
